William Dixon James, P.C. was founded in 2004 by principal Dixon James. This is the realization of Mr. James' longtime goal of managing his own law practice, and a continuation of his commitment to helping others. Prior to founding William Dixon James, P.C., Mr. James practiced for over 4 years with another civil litigation firm which maintained offices in both Atlanta and Columbus, Georgia. There, Mr. James served as counsel in numerous civil cases and trials, and handled legal matters throughout the state of Georgia.

Mr. James' previous firm concentrated on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, and Mr. James gained valuable hands-on experience handling cases involving wrongful death and catastrophic personal injuries, medical malpractice, auto accidents, tractor trailer liability, nursing home liability, psychiatric malpractice, legal malpractice, insurance bad faith, libel and slander, as well as real estate and business litigation. In addition to pre-trial preparation and trials, Mr. James has also authored numerous appellate briefs to the Georgia Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.
